William Lee Haynes

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Lee Haynes, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on June 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 23, 1952, in Ashland, Kentucky, William brought joy and warmth to all those around him throughout his life.

William was the cherished son of Roger Haynes and Evaline Morris Haynes. He graduated from Ironton High School in 1971, then William dedicated 45 years of his life to Ashland Oil, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Kathy Yates of Ironton, Ohio, who meant the world to him. William is survived by his devoted children, Christopher and his wife Cassandra, and Cindi Harris and her husband Lonnie. He also leaves behind his treasured grandson, Chase

William’s life was marked by the love he shared with his family and friends, as well as the countless lives he touched through his kindness and generosity. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his gentle spirit, and his ability to make everyone feel special.

A private memorial service will be held to honor William’s life on July 12th, allowing his family to celebrate the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.
