We are saddened by the passing of Tony DeSpain on August 20, 2023. He died of a heart attack and diabetes complications. He was 63 years old.
Tony spent his life working as a plumber, electrician, property manager, and security guard. He also became a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying.
He was born and raised in Orange, California, but in later years lived in San Leandro, California and Lake Havasu, Arizona. He spent his last days in Fullerton, California.
Tony’s fondest memories were playing trumpet in the marching band for Orange High School class of 1978. He was known for his big smile and adorable dimples. He always had a great sense of humor and made friends easily.
Tony left a legacy of laughter and love.
He is survived by his sister, Bitsy and her husband. He also leaves behind two nephews and a niece along with their families (8 Grand nieces and nephews) and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was predeceased by his father Marvin DeSpain, his mother Nona DeSpain, and elder brother Donald (Butch) DeSpain.
Tony’s ashes were scattered at sea off the Orange County Pacific Coast. We love him dearly, and he will be greatly missed. We believe that through Jesus Christ we will see him again one day.
