Tonie Hansen, 86, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024. She was born on May 15, 1937, in Climax, MI, to the late Ruby Harrison and Elvah Tobey. Tonie was a loving and kind woman, who was known for her outspoken nature and caring personality.
Tonie had a passion for crocheting, bird watching, crafting, and gardening. She found joy in creating beautiful pieces through her crocheting and spending time in nature observing the beauty of birds. Her creative spirit extended to crafting, where she would pour her heart into every project. Tonie also had a green thumb and took great pride in her garden, nurturing it with love and care.
In addition to her hobbies, Tonie cherished the moments spent with her friends over coffee at Crossroads. These gatherings provided her with a sense of community and friendship that she deeply valued.
Tonie is survived by her daughter Teri (Dan) Ancel, son Kyle Edmonds, grandsons Joseph (Lori), Robert (Jennifer) Hastings, and Christopher (Lauren) Campbell, granddaughters Tonia DeBoer and Felicia DeBoer, and numerous great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Aaron, Caylee, Brayden, Brian, Jameson, Hudson, Asher, Adrian, Mahli, Jayden, Kenden, and Landen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hansen, son Richard Hastings, mother Ruby Harrison, father Elvah Tobey, and brother Robert Tobey.
Services for Tonie will be determined at a later date.
