Tiny Dancer, 14, of Croghan N.Y. passed away on February 3, 2025.
Tiny came from humble beginnings, found roaming the streets of Oswego County. Upon her rescue at the age of 10, she had several medical concerns and had to undergo multiple surgeries. One thing, however, was for certain: she wanted her fair share at life.
On March 15, 2021, after a few months with her wonderful foster mother, she caught my eye on Petfinder.com. 5 days later we picked her up and officially made her a member of the Gould family. I was looking for a companion to be the Bruiser to my Elle, and I found her.
It wasn’t long before she became my partner in crime, all while lovingly wearing the silly outfits that I bought for her. She had a knack for drive-thrus, particularly finding enjoyment in Dairy Queen and Dunkin’s pup cups and any french fry she could get her paws on. She also enjoyed spending time in the sun and sleeping in way, way too long with me. She was the greatest friend anyone could ask for, and she will be greatly missed by those of us who cherished her.
I wish to specially thank those at Oswego County SPCA who took such great care of my girl when she needed it most. Your work is difficult, yet you show up for these animals day after day. Not only do you make a difference in their lives, but in the lives of the people who give them forever homes.
I also want to usher anyone interested in getting a pet towards adoption. Shelters across the country are overcrowded with dogs who are looking for another chance. My rescued pets, like Tiny, have brought me to some of the highest highs in my life. I can say with complete truth that it is truly an honor to have these pets in your family.
