In Loving Memory of Terri Lynne Mann (Dempsey)
January 23, 1957 – January 29, 2025
Terri Lynne Mann (née Dempsey), a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025 at 68 years of age. Born on January 23, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Joanne Dempsey, Terri brought light, love, and laughter to all who knew her.
On March 12, 1977, Terri married the love of her life, Robert Allen Mann, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership filled with devotion and joy. Together, they built a family and a legacy of love.
Terri was the proud and loving mother of Shawna Mann and cherished stepmother to Jennifer Melnik (married to Lance Melnik) and Jasen Mann. She found immense joy in her role as grandmother to Ryan Rochford (married to Alyssa Rochford), Taylor McNeil, Dylan McNeil, Abbey Twichell, Quynn Lubs, and Llandyn Lubs. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Isabella Rochford.
One of Terri’s greatest gifts was her ability to make friends no matter where she went. Her warm smile, kind heart, and easy sense of humor drew people to her and left lasting impressions on everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter Shawna Mann, former son-in-law Brian Lubs, stepdaughter Jennifer Melnik, stepson Jasen Mann, siblings Susan Starrett (married to Aubrey Starrett), Lisa Plummer (whose late husband was Dan Plummer), and David Dempsey (married to Pamela Dempsey), and all of her grandchildren & great-grandchild, who will remember her as a loving sister, mother, TeTe, and lifelong friend. Terri was predeceased by her parents, her brother William Dempsey, and her beloved husband Robert Mann.
Per Terri’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, her family encourages all who loved her to honor her memory by doing something she loved: watch The Wizard of Oz, play the slots, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the world around you, and maybe even hug a tree.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, City of Hope, or any of the agencies supporting Los Angeles Fire Victims—causes close to Terri’s heart.
Terri Lynne Mann will be remembered for her love, generosity, and vibrant spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy will continue to inspire acts of kindness and moments of joy.
See you when we both get home, Mom.
