Teresa Walsh

I had heard more than once how amazing Ms. Teresa was and how lucky my son will be to get to her class. The few times I got to watch Ms. Teresa in action with my son and the other kids in Red Room, I immediately had the sense that they were in good hands. He's been thriving there thanks to her and the other teachers. One of the first things she said to me is, "Your son is a good kid," and talked with me about how to make his transition a smooth one. I broke down in tears because I felt how much she cared and advocated for the kids. She was a positive presence that will be deeply missed.

Teresa, I'm so blessed to have gotten to work alongside you and Evie in red room. You helped guide me and teach me. You were a wonderful, kind person and teacher. You were a mom to everyone making sure they were ok. You were the first person to welcome me to small steps, beacuse thats just who you were, a welcoming person. You were an inspiring person and I use your teaching strategy in my own classroom. May you rest in peace, and may your love live on.

I will miss seeing you and your positive spirit. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Teresa, you truly were a ray of sunshine within our Small Steps family! You always knew how to show your silly side, laugh at yourself, and find the positive in every situation, but you also knew how to step down into another's trials and help lift them up. You had a gift for being able to really see others for who they were and then reach into their world to help pull out the best in them. I will always remember the times you helped me through my own struggles by your support and words of wisdom. You will be missed greatly!

Our family is so saddened to hear of Teresa’s passing - she was my daughter’s teacher when she first started at daycare and was such a wonderful presence there! She will be so missed by us, and many others

So very sad about the loss of a great co-worker and friend. I had the pleasure of working with Teresa at Small Steps . She was always Kind, Bubbly and positive. No matter what she always had a smile on her face. She was always encouraging especially when I needed it the most. She was such a kind, caring and patient teacher in the red room . I will miss seeing her face and infectious smile she would have every morning when arriving at school. I’m beyond said to hear of your passing Teresa! I am grateful to have had you be apart of all three of my children’s lives! I remember the talks and guidance you gave me when my oldest was struggling within her self! You always had a smile and the kindest heart! You will be missed! Teresa, Im so sad you are gone, but so happy to have been able to call you a friend. Your bright and positive outlook in all things has been so inspiring. I loved the time we had at SSBS and the memories made outside of there. You will forever live on in our hearts and are greatly missed ❤️

I used to call her Saint Teresa as a joke because of just how full of light she was. She used to dance into the classroom on Friday’s and always cared about everyone around her. She was genuinely one of the most warm and kind people I’ve ever met and she will be sorely missed. Prayers for her family she’ll be watching from above.

I can’t process this news. Ms. Teresa you were the example what a teacher should be. You were part of Dominik’s life for over a year and you definitely became his family. He loved you so much and through his experience Ryan and I loved you too. I am so thankful and lucky that I had an opportunity to know you. Life is definitely not fair. I will miss your laughter, dancing and humor. I will miss our daily conversations over lunch and our crazy check ins on each other during the day. I will miss our nightly exchange of memes . I cant believe your gone. You were such a shining light to all of us here as Small Steps. Words cant even begin to describe what you have meant to us all. You were an amazing teacher, co worker and Friend to all. No matter what you always found a positive to every situation. You were the first to volunteer to do whatever was needed.
