Teresa Carpenter, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2022, at the Texas Tech Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 68 years old.
Born on December 24, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas, Teresa’s life journey took her through Cheyenne and Elk City, Oklahoma, where she created a lifetime of memories. Known for her extraordinary ability to listen, she made everyone around her feel truly heard and valued. Her playful, lighthearted spirit and infectious laughter brought joy and comfort to all who knew her.
Teresa had a deep love for her family, and her greatest joys were playing games, caring for her beloved dog, Roxanne, and spending quality time with her daughter, Amy Wells, and granddaughters, Emma Wells and Lindsey Wells. Her warm hugs and kind-hearted nature made her a treasured presence in the lives of those she loved.
A devoted Christian, Teresa’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was also supported by her best friend, Charlene Gentry.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, the family invites friends and loved ones to remember Teresa in their own way and cherish the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Teresa will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for the joy, laughter, and kindness she brought into the lives of those around her.
