OBITUARY
It Is with profound sadness that the family of Maria Teresa Bautista, known to friends and family as Tess, announces her passing after an illness, on Monday, May 18, 2020 at the age of 59. She is survived by her 20-year old daughter, Jade. Tess will be forever remembered by her brothers and sisters, Jess, Cesar, Sherri, Priscilla, Connie, Stephanie, sisters-in-law Evelyn and Alice, brothers-in-law Robert Wolf, Jimmy Chua and Mark Oligan, and stepmother Evelyn. Tess was predeceased by her parents Braulio and Rosario Bautista and her brother Franklin. Loving memories of Tess will also not be forgotten by her numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and co-workers.
Since childhood, Tess lived a simple life, yet full of joyful memories with family and friends in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She was a very sweet, thoughtful and loving sister. Per her younger sister Connie, she was also a mentor, a playmate, and a & a "buddy." They grew up together and went to the same school In both Elementary and HIgh School. Tess was an inspiration! She did very well in school as well as in her job. She was tagged as a perfectionist, but to those who knew her well, she was a passionate and committed human being.In college. She went to Polytechnic University of the Philippines and became a Certified Public Accountant.
When she migrated to United States, she attended Chabot College in Hayward, CA and became a Registered Nurse (RN). She devoted 24 years of her nursing career at Zuckerberg SanFrancisco General Hospital in San Francisco, CA. She was also a CPR-Basic Life Support Instructor at Providence Vocational School in Daly City, CA.
Tess will be remembered as a loving mother to her dearest Jade. She was a generous provider who never demanded anything in return for all the help and support she extended not only to her family and friends but to less fortunate people. When she was diagnosed with Cancer, she never complained rather, she faced her destiny with hope and courage. In pain and suffering, she committed and surrendered her life into the Mighty Hands of our God, the Father through the saving grace of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Viewing will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13, 2020 from 4:00PM - 9:00PM followed by a Funeral Service on Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home1
