October 21, 1965 — October 9, 2025
Remembering Suzanne Michelle Molson Buck, born October 21, 1965, left this world far too early on Thursday, October 9, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home in Columbus, assisted with daily care from ECHO Hospice of Ohio.
Sue was a loving wife, sister, friend, and Chef. She was passionate about Women’s Rights, Equality for All, experiencing world travel, gardening, bicycling and relaxing in a hot soaking bath.
Sue lived her life as Professional Chef for about 40 years, she earned her Culinary Degree in 1997 at Columbus State Community College. Sue was Executive Chef at Tapatio, Elemental, Ohio State University Catering, and more. She prepared dinners for Picnic with the Pops for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra for several years.
With twenty-six years of devoted marriage, and a total of thirty-one years together, she shared her life with her loving husband, Michael Buck. Her passion and love for life will be treasured and remembered with great joy. She loved talking about food, designing menus, creating great dishes, travelling the globe to experience different cuisines and cultures. At home, she loved cuddle with her dogs, plant and harvest her garden, listen to the birds at daybreak, and relax in a hot bath.
Sue is survived by her husband, Michael Buck; her sister, Claudia Kochert; her brother, Rob Molson; and her cherished nieces and nephew, Nicole Yarid, Sarah Krill, and Alex Kochert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at her home (1318 Fair Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43205) from 12 noon to 5PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue’s memory to help cover the health care costs incurred during her nine week stay at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.

I will remember my Aunt Susie always, I will remember her in the kitchen when I cook for my family, she's a big reason food feels like love to me. I'll think of her when I'm on my bike or watching my kids ride, just enjoying the pureness of those moments the way she did. Sue had a great warmth and humor about her, and I'll carry those memories with me always.
