April 7, 1959 — January 27, 2023
Stephanie Lorraine McKire, 63, of Detroit, MI, joined her angels in heaven on January 27, 2023, with her children and oldest sister by her side.
Stephanie was born on April 7, 1959, to Harold Eugene Holmes Sr and Helen Lorraine Cooper in Des Moines, Iowa. After Stephanie graduated from Sumner Academy of Arts & Science in 1977, she went on to study Electrical Engineering at Iowa State University.
After graduating with a degree in Engineering, she started her 35-year career with the Board of Public Utilities and retired from her career at Ford Motor Company.
In 1980, Stephanie met Saul Davis Sr and married in Kansas City, MO. Stephanie and Saul went on to have two children, Saul Davis Jr (son) and Sydney Davis (daughter). Stephanie later married Richard McKire (deceased) in St. Louis, MO until 1998.
Upon Stephanie’s retirement, she spent her time fishing, playing bid whist, riding bikes, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family, posse, and close friends.
Stephanie was predeceased by her father Harold Holmes Sr., her mother Helen Holmes, and her sister Debra Betow. She is survived by sisters, Gwen Watson, Harriet Holmes, brother, Harold Holmes Jr, children, Saul Davis, Sydney Davis, six grandchildren, and many nieces.
Kansas City, MO services will be held at 3216 Gillham Plaza, Unit 250, Kansas City, MO 64109 on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm. We kindly request those who attend to refrain from wearing black and if possible wear pink, purple, or off-white attire in her honor.

Detroit, MI services will be held at 8200 E Jefferson Ave, Penthouse, Detroit, MI 48214 on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm. We kindly request those who attend to refrain from wearing black and if possible wear pink, purple, or off-white attire in her honor.
