Obituary
Skyla K Jones was born in Jackson, Michigan. She had four children: Johnathan Fletcher, Macon, GA, David Fletcher, Macon, GA, Eddie Carswell, Jr., Jackson, MI, and Sanora Carswell- Combs (Dylan Combs) of Jackson, MI. Throughout her life she held numerous jobs varying from cleaning and caring for others at a nursing home to driving on the road big rig trucks. She lived in Macon, GA for over 10 years. She'd eventually move home to Jackson, Michigan where she died on July 18, 2025. She is survived by her four children, their father and stepfather, Eddie Carswell Sr., their grandson, Devin Fletcher, and a host of friends, family, and other loved ones.

Skyla was a stern, yet loving person. She took me under her wing and told me things straightforward, which is how I learn. She helped free me from my EXTREME fear of dogs. And for that I am forever grateful. My current fear is 80% of what it used to be. She was not perfect, but she was my friend. This memory is of some of the best moments we all shared together. Sadly, these are the only pictures that remain. Love ya Skyla 😘

Mr. Melvin, Skyla's Dad and Mr. Eddie, Skyla's ex. Mr. Melvin and Mr. Eddie both took me aside and counseled me on several occasions. Both two great men. My memories with them respectively are intimate and precious to me. Love and respect on the highest level. Her sons & grandson.
