Celebrating the Life of
July 23, 1947 — January 23, 2024
The wonderful life of Frank Sylvester Attinger III "Skip" came to a peaceful close on January 23, 2024. He was surrounded by his three loving daughters. He was predeceased by his parents Bernice Carroll and Lt. Col. Frank S. Attinger Jr. He is survived by his three daughters Christi "Slim", Karri "Bear" and Alissa "Small-Fry", their spouses; Jeremy, Sara and Duncan, his two grandsons; Elijah and Gabriel, three granddaughters; Christina, Juniper and Griffin, his partner Judy Welch, her daughter Amanda, spouse Glenn and granddaughter Karlee "Chumpy". He also leaves behind his brother Bruce, wife Jan and sister Tracy, husband Roger, and their respective families, countless friends and many touched lives. Skip was blessed with an "extra" 40yrs and 28 days following a horrible accident that severely scarred him and left him an amputee. However, he never let his handicap define him. He was grateful for each day and truly lived his life to the fullest. He made it his mission to share his testimony with anyone he encountered. His story was his purpose, and his children and grandchildren are his legacy. He was a God-fearing faithful man, a generous friend, an incredible storyteller who loved a good joke, was usually the "life of the party" and a proud and loving father and Pop Pop who will be forever missed. May we all take comfort knowing that he is "whole" again with his Lord and Savior in Heaven.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Skip was a wonderful friend for more than 20 years. He was a man of faith, extremely generous, kind and unassuming. We had a lot of drinks and a lot of laughs together. We were brothers in my eyes, and I loved him as such. I spent some time with him as he fought cancer. He never complained. He always was upbeat and looked for the best. He is greatly missed.
