Sarah “Sally” Abigail Rockefeller-Moore died on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Montecito, California, after a brief battle with cancer.
For many years, Sally Rockefeller Moore was Co-Chair of The Moore Foundation, which has endowed hundreds of Millions in Medical Research and the arts.
Funeral services will be held in Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County, New York, on Monday, September 9, 2024.
The viewing and Rosary followed by a Roman Catholic Requiem Mass.

Harvard Medical School has received a fifty-million dollar endowment from the family foundations for Breast Cancer Research Programs and Fellowships in Memory of Sally Rockefeller Moore.

Sally’s friendship is one that I shall cherish forever. She was a loyal friend and her kindness was forever present. She shared her love for her family, children and the love of her life Winthrop. She was so beautiful and her smile was everything. She shared her exciting adventures with us, her philanthropic work will live on. We are better for knowing you. Your unwavering positivity and elegance and poise will be remembered whenever I think of you which has been quite often even more these days. We your friends are praying for your family, children and Winthrop to comfort them. Your spirit lives on.
