Sandra (Sandy) Lynn Benge of Hickory, NC passed away on 11/30/23 at the age of 60. She is survived by Randy Benge (spouse) Matthew Benge (son), Vincent Benge (grandson) and sisters Pamela Collins, Cheryl De Almeida (Jooa), Kathy Hussey, Mary Collins, Angie Hardison (Tim) and Cherice Collins. Also, many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her beloved son Randy Benge Jr. and parents Caroline and Roby Collins. She will be greatly missed. Sandy was born in Michigan, moved to TN in childhood and resided in Hickory NC in adulthood. She was the first of her siblings to graduate college obtaining her first degree in Computer Sciences and then a Bachelors in Nursing. She worked with developmentally delayed children in her final years of Nursing. Our comfort comes in knowing her faith and belief that she is now reunited with her son and our parents.
In honor of Sandy's life, a memorial service will be held at Shallowford Pentacostal Church on Saturday 1/13/2024 from 2pm to 5pm.
