Celebrating the Life of
January 6, 1980 — December 1, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the heart of our family, Roger Shane Legg, 44, on December 1, 2024 at Berkshire Nursing Home in Vinton, VA.
Roger was born on January 6, 1980 in Greenbrier County, WV. He loved sports, motorcycles and singing his favorite country and gospel music, but he loved his family most of all. Roger had an impact on everyone he met, charming them with his wonderful smile, huge caring heart and his playful sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind and a blessing to all who knew him.
Roger will be welcomed into heaven by his loving grandparents, Jack & Beulah Legg, and his Aunt JoJo, who have been waiting for one of his amazing hugs.
He is survived by his Mother and Father, Connie Legg Tyler and Allen Tyler of Vinton, VA, his Sissy’s and Brothers In Law, Heather Carlisle and Logan Carlisle of Roanoke, VA and Amanda Kerr and Jaron Kerr of Salem, VA, his niece, Allyssa Cole of Roanoke, VA, his Uncle Pete & Aunt Ally Legg of Mt Airy, MD, his Aunt Anna “Roo-Roo” Legg Bartley and Uncle Mark Bartley of Covington, VA, his Uncle DJ and Aunt Libby Legg of Iron Gate, VA and numerous cousins, family members and friends whom he loved so very much.

I am so very sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. I will always remember him laughing. He was a true joy to our family and loved by many. Sending my deepest condolences to Connie and the whole Family. Pam (Ryder) Muller
I loved working at Berkshire and seeing him everyday brought my spirits up. I would get him outfits for his Elmo and share my hush puppies with him every time I went to long John silvers . I think about him all the time. ❤️ all my thoughts and prayers go to his family. May he be healed in heaven and riding a motorcycle ❤️
Roger will be missed by everyone at the Berkshire! His love for his family was evident in the stories he shared with us. He will forever be our “bud”. Connie I have said it, but will say it again, thank you for sharing your baby with us for a beautiful 15 years. All my love, Casey K.
Prayers to you all..sending hugs and prayers from WV
