In Loving Memory of Rodney Wayne Hewit, a passionate Seahawk's fan, former race car driver and train enthusiast, passed away on December 30, 2024, in Maui Hawaii with family present. Born on July 3, 1945, to Violet and Herbert Hewit, he lived a life full of adventure, joy, and love.
Rod found emense joy in the company of his children, grandchildren, and close family and friends. His love for food, family, and the thrill of the race track were cornerstones of his life, and he always had a story to tell—whether it was about his latest race, his favorite trains, or his grandchildren's latest milestones.
A man of free spirit and independence, his favorite quote was: "Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules."
His legacy is one of passion, strength and a relentless pursuit of living life to its fullest. He will be remembered for his warmth, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for those closest to him.
A private service was held in his honor in Paia Hawaii.
