Robert J. Wood, 44, of Apopka, FL passed away peacefully November 13, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong Orlando area resident. He attended West Orange High School in Winter Garden and settled down in the Apopka area. Robert was meticulous in his work in the concrete and stucco industry for several pool companies.
His passion was both fresh water fishing for bass, never fearing the gators and salt water fishing for the snook and reds. Robert had a love of nature and collecting rocks along every path he traveled.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Wood of Clearwater, FL. He is survived by his mother, Maureen Wood of Apopka, FL and his 19-year old son, Robert M Wood of Orlando, FL.
Robert is also survived by two half sisters; Rebecca Markley (Wood) of Largo, FL and Shannon Jarnagin (Wood) of Wisconsin, Aunt Nancy Mosher of Zellwood, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special mention of Robert’s longtime girlfriend, Erika Ortiz of Apopka, FL. May she take solace in knowing that her love passed peacefully.
