Robert (Bob) Terrell

Terrell, Robert (Bob) Earl, 86, of Chesterfield, went home to be the Lord on March 1, 2026. He is survived by his children, Marty (Dawn) Terrell and Tracy (Jonathan) Ferguson, and grandchildren, Karlee, Heavenlee, Isaac (Korynn), and Josiah. Born in Richmond, Virginia on November 30, 1939, Bob attended Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Virginia. He went on to attend Richmond Professional Institute (currently Virginia Commonwealth University) where he played basketball and met his wife Anne. He and Anne were married on Aug 22, 1964. Bob served in the Air National Guard and went on to work at the Virginia Department of Transportation for over 30 years. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and served faithfully in such roles as Ushering, Counting Team, and working with the clothes closet.He was actively involved in his community and served others in a variety of capacities. In addition to his time with Meals on Wheels, he coached Little League baseball and basketball for years. Bob coordinated teams and schedules as an Athletic Director with Hening Athletic Association and acted as a Commissioner in the Chesterfield Basketball League. He served with the Chesterfield Baseball Club, and with the Chesterfield Parks and Recreation for years. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday, March 5, at Bliley’s-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. The funeral service will be held at 11am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3601 Monument Avenue, on Friday, March 6.
