I honestly don’t know what this year’s football season is going to feel like without Rick. Every season, I looked forward to sending him text messages about Big Blue—our Michigan Wolverines. It was more than just football; it was our connection, our shared joy. Those simple exchanges meant a lot to me. I’m deeply grateful for the way Rick always took the time to share his thoughts, wisdom, and ideas with our sons and daughter. His heart was always open, and he gave of himself so generously. I will never forget his kindness and the way he welcomed my mother—when she was still with us—into his home with my sister Kamla. That gesture of love and hospitality said so much about the kind of man he was. What I’ll miss most is his presence—his warm, easygoing nature and that unforgettable smile, especially when the babies were around. There was something pure and joyful in his expression whenever the little ones entered the room. It lit him up. Even though I didn’t get to be around him as much as I would have liked, due to working overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Japan, I always held him close in my heart. And now, that absence feels deeper. One thing is certain—I’m going to miss him a lot. Rick was truly a gentle giant—kind, loving, and steady. His impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

Our Superman!!
We wanted to send our deepest condolences to my family. Love you all…
My deepest sympathies to Rick's family at this difficult time. I worked with Rick at Axis for almost 5 years from 2019 and I just wanted to share that he was the greatest people-manager I have ever known. I was the only one of his reports based in the UK, but he made me feel part of the team from day one. It was such a pleasure to work for him - he was so brilliant at what he did, and he was so warm and funny too. I had a month to work out my notice when Rick was let go, and it became immediately obvious how much time and effort he put in to defend his team from all the politics and BS, to make sure that we could focus on our work and have a pleasant day. He never let on how hard he had to work to do that, and he always stayed so positive even when things were tough. I just wanted to let you know that he left a real impression on me - I hope that I can emulate his warmth and brilliance in my own life. He was a great man and I will miss him. Sincere condolences from the UK, Adam Worsdale
Kay I'm praying for you and little Annie. I pray God keeps his loving arms around the two of you. Rest In Paradise Rick
