Randall Roy West of Cherryland passed away at home, Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was 62. Randall will be lovingly missed by his wife of 23 years, Annie West. Born in Fremont, CA, Randall was raised in San Leandro. His early upbringing from his Grandfather Roy Powers taught him all the finer things in life from women to firearms. Randall graduated from San Francisco State University with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Civil Engineer at Lea and Braze Engineering at the time of his death, a position he held for 20+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed trains, football (fins up!), formula 1 racing, drag racing, grilling, riding his motorcycle and spending time at home watching movies from the lazy boy. Some of his fondest memories were riding his motorcycle with his wife and friends. Some of his greatest joys were spending time with his wife, his friends Todd Fields, Rob Shumate and Lee Dallas Wild Cole. One of the most important ambitions Randall had was to motivate and elevate those around him, at any means necessary, so that they could do their absolute best in life. In addition to his wife Randall is survived by his mother, Darla, his sister, Christine, his Aunt and Uncle Doreen and Mike as well as his nieces and nephews Tarah, Paige, and Nicholas as well as his unofficial ‘kids’ Keandra and John. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11 AM until 2:00 pm, at The Funky Monkey, Main Street, Hayward CA 94541.
