Celebrating the life of Nicole and the love she shared, accomplishments she enjoyed, and the love for others who she's touched and known.
The family of Nicole Fackler Lowrie, born April 8, 1978, Chicago, IL, announces her passing on November 19, 2020 in Los Angeles. A graduate of University of Illinois and the University of Michigan, Nikki, as she was known by family and friends, was a successful public health analyst who served as a regional senior management consultant for Kaiser Permanente. She was passionate about education and the well-being of children, which was demonstrated by her service to the John Thomas Dye School, having served as President of the JTD Parent’s Association. She also touched the lives of the many Moms and children in the Los Angeles Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc and was an active executive board member. Nicole contributed freely her time and resources to volleyball, soccer, dance and softball activities of her athletic daughters. Nicole is survived by her spouse, Nnamdi; her daughters Peyton (13) and Paige (11); her sister, Lindsey (Fackler) and her parents, Ralph and Rita Fackler. Nikki was interred in Chicago, IL.

JTD Moms at work

Nicole was always happy to help and with a smile!
Nicole was incredibly warm, kind and welcoming. As treasurer of the Parents association, Nicole was endlessly patient and always had a friendly smile. It was a treat to watch her ascend to President. Rest in Power Nicole!

We started as Moms together at JTD over eight years ago. We will miss your kind smile, infectious laugh, leadership and friendship. We commiserated about being working Moms together and took care of our girls as best we could. This night was when we saw Adele together with many of the JTD Moms. May you Rest In Peace, sweet Nicole.

Great times in Cape Town, South Africa 2008

We were in Puerto Rico in 2008 for a friends wedding and we had the time of our lives. Nicole’s smile and attitude always brought and extra sense of excitement. Nicole is definitely going to be missed. We are sending our condolences to the Lowrie Family.

A fun night at the 2019 JJLA Fundraiser. We got dressed up, danced and just laughed all evening! Nicole’s smile and laugh will be missed❤️

JJLA fundraiser event....So much fun and laughter that night! We will miss you💕

2010 my wedding day. Nicole danced for almost 2 hours straight. It was a great day.

Another night out celebrating friends.

J&J National Convention 2016 Regional Breakfast! Fun week! Nicole was awesome as the Co-Chair of Registration for the convention.
Miss your beautiful smiling face. Your enthusiasm always inspired me.

Nikki was one of the kindest and most loving people I knew. Moving to Chicago as a teen wasn't easy but I was so grateful to meet a friend like her. I'm thankful for each moment we shared. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I first meet Nicole when Peyton was entering Kindergarten. I was so happy to see another sister at JTD. She was more than just a JTD parent to me, and I was not just another staff member to her. From passing Payton off in the Miracle Mile to bringing homework to Baldwin Hills, I had Lowrie's back. My heart will miss Nicole.

June 2019 Celebrating our children's graduation together.
Nicole, you were one of my favorite JJLA moms! Because of this fact, I was devastated to hear of your passing. I have many fond memories of you both via J&J LA and because our daughters attended Debbie Allen Dance Academy during the same period. (I saw you in the Hot Chocolate Nutcracker documen-tary!! Niara was in it too).
One memory I have of Nicole is that she was the first person that I saw, that I knew, when I arrived at my first J&J National Convention in Palm Desert in 2016. She provided the usual pleasantries as she registered me but she did more. Nicole said to me, "We like it when new members jump right in attending conventions and joining committees." Nicole, you made me feel welcome and validated. I will never forget your kindness.
My second outstanding memory of Nicole is that we were at a Group 4 activity in 2018 or 2019, discussing what our kids were doing over the Summer. You mentioned that your girls would be attending "away" camp (in the mid-West I believe). I was mortified and conveyed this to you. You said that every California mother that you had discussed this with, had, had the same reaction that I had. You went to great lengths to explain that attending "away" camp was commonplace in the Midwest. I so appreciate you taking the time to share your world view with me and taking the time to connect with me. You had a Mid-western sensibility that I found refreshing. I will miss you!

Bringing in the 2015 New Year together. We joined Jack and Jill Los Angeles together in 2013. Nicole was very generous with her time and served selflessly. I will cherish all of the memories we shared! She was very special!! I offer my condolences and prayers to the family.

If I could turn back the hands of time my sweet friend, I would remember why we were laughing so hard and vow to laugh like that every time I saw you. But I can not, so I will have to cherish the beautiful smile that you shared with me every time we met! Now that you have your wings, the heavens are surely more beautiful! Rest In Power Nicole
I went to Whitney young high school with Nikki. She shaped many of my wonderful memorIes of high school. The fun we all had , like a big family. I will always remember nikki and keep her spirit and family in My Heart and prayers.
Nicole is one of the warmest, nicest, and actively dedicated women I have known. Her pure joy and love of fun are contagious. Her girls have an amazing guardian angel. I will miss my Jack and Jill sister.

Nikki was a wonderful spirit. I loved her smile, her warmth and most of all her honesty. She will be greatly missed.
Dear Nnamdi, Peyton, and Paige, Nicole was a very special person that one doesn't meet often in this world. You have been given a gift of being part of her. I was so hoping in our future she and I could work together since I so respected her in her depth, understanding of people, her kindness and her wisdom. I will think of her often.

This was at a DADA gala a few years ago. I miss my beautiful friend terribly.
JJLA protocol chair stopped me at the door because my pantyhose were dark brown and not my "flesh" color. Nicole, being always prepared, reached into her bag and pulled out an extra pair of hose for me! We laughed so hard while I changed under the table. I will miss her! Rest well Nicole.
Nicole was such a beautiful person. Consistently welcoming and warm. She was always willing to help, and would go above and beyond. Everyone knew she loved her family with her whole heart, and Peyton & Paige were the center of her world. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

This picture was taken at the Jack and Jill LA 2019 Closing Meeting. Stacey (center) graduated out that year, and Nicole passed New Membership to me, but, in true Nicole fashion, remained on the committee. At the center of Nicole's work was her focus on family. She always talked about her family and her girls - y'all were the center of her world.
Greetings Lowrie family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all Rhonda Tribble (Jack and Jill mom and prior KP CO-worker)

To the Lowrie & Fackler families, we offer our prayers and condolences. Nicole was a fabulous mom who kept her girls involved in everything. Our twins partied, went to camp and played sports with both Paige and Peyton. We are Jack and Jill sisters and Nicole is my fellow Whitney Young alum. God bless!

Nicole was such an great inspiration to me! As her nanny for almost 4 years I learned so much from her. It was definitely the best 4 years working with the Lowrie Family! I’ll forever miss her smile, her laugh, and her unconditional love to all. Thank you Nicole for teaching me so much!
Our whole family is deeply saddened by the loss of Nicole. She was an inspiration, a delight, and a dear friend. We are sending the entire Lowrie family our condolences and strength to get through the toughest of days. Love to you all, Jed, Leslie, Sadye, and Shane Lackman
Sending lots of love to all of you during this difficult time...
Dear Nnamdi, Peyton and Paige, I am so saddened by Nicole’s unexpected passing. I enjoyed working with her at JTD, talking about secondary schools, and looked forward to hiking with her in our neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed being a part of Hudson’s care all these years. If there’s anything I can do to help during this difficult time, please let me know. With deepest sympathy, Dr Kim Carvalho- Faucher ( Hudson’s vet)
To the Lowrie Family I was saddened to hear of the loss of Nicole. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. As you move through this difficult process of grief please focus on this quote “Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal but love leaves a memory that no one can steal.” Focus on the love you shared. A beautiful human spirit. A wonderful friend indeed. Always ready to lend a hand to a Jack & Jill mom in need. Creative and resourceful no task was to big. Praying the angels sign her up for all their important gigs. Rest well friend you are missed but never forgotten.
I send my deepest condolences and hold you all in prayer at this difficult time. I will forever remember Nicole as a kind and generous fellow DADA mother and a warm and supportive JJLA mother when I was only a prospective mother member. My heart and thoughts are with you as I send prayers for peace and healing. With deepest sympathy,

We enjoyed a night on the town a few Xmas holidays ago! Sending hugs and prayers to the Lowrie-Fackler families🙏🏾

Nicole and family, Your warm spirit and zest for the JTD community will be sorely missed. I’ll forever hold our time together in the PA as well as Kindergarten cooking moms in a special place of my heart. Rest In Peace.
This news about Nicole was devastating. We are sending love and well wishes to Nnamdi, Peyton and Paige. Nicole was definitely resourceful with anything kid or school related. She was my go to when I started looking for schools. She was super excited to help me through the process. We will miss her dearly.. The Patikas-Hunter's
Lowrie family: My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Nicole was always so warm, patient and giving of herself to the JTD community. I will miss her.
With the dedication Nicole displayed to her girls happiness, she showed me a path to mothering my own children. Paige, I send you my love and the biggest/longest hug. I ask that you dance for the joy of it. Peyton and Paige you each have drive, wit and such a light within you that resembles your Mom’s glow. She will be with you always. Mrs.Ebony
From the moment I met Nicole, I felt her good spirit! She was always warm, welcoming and not to mention had a great smile. Just beautiful inside and out! The Jack and Jill family will truly miss her. Sending prayers, love and comfort to the entire family during this time. Rest In Peace Nicole ❤️

I can’t express my heartbreak any eloquent form. I am so saddened by her passing. She was so thoughtful and lovely. A real friend.

When I think about you Nicole I can’t help but to smile because your smile was so infectious. I thought I would never see your smile again until I saw your smile appear from your babies faces. Your smile will carry on through them and in our hearts and minds. May God bless you all and strengthen and comfort you. Maisha & Kruz
Nnamdi, I have been at a loss for the words to share. Everytime I think of Nicole no longer on this earth to share her light, I breath life into you. She was truly a gift, a model of grace, kindness, purpose, and doing it all to the fullest. May you be strong in holding up her legacy and carrying her torch. Sending love to you and the girls. You are not alone
Dear Nnamdi, Peyton and Paige, Please know that we are thinking of you during this very difficult time. We send our prayers and much love. With our Deepest Sympathy, Willie and Dorothy Reed
