Celebrating the Life of
February 6, 2006 — October 22, 2025
Nathan Andrew Levandowski, 19, entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 with his parents at his side. Nathan’s sweet and caring nature was evident from a young age; he embraced life with a smile, a desire to lift people's spirits, and a thirst for knowledge.
Born in Lake Forest, IL, to Mitch and Melanie, Nathan joined big sister Samantha and later became a big brother to Madeline. Nathan was a homeschool graduate (May 2024), where he excelled at math, science, and avoiding schoolwork. He was also a proud and accomplished athlete who played travel sports and competed for Westlake Christian Academy in both soccer and volleyball. He was a national champion goalie for the soccer team, won numerous awards for his volleyball talents, was awarded Male Athlete of the Year in 2024, but more importantly he was a great mentor, teammate, friend, and child of God. Nathan was a hard worker who took pride in his work and brought fun to the workplace. He enjoyed camping with his family, playing Magic The Gathering and D&D with his friends, working at Culver’s, studying Mechatronics Technology at College of Lake County, riding his motorcycle, and making people smile.
One of the most important things in Nathan’s life was his family — always showing up and never hesitating to lend a helping hand. Beloved son of Mitchell “Mitch” and Melanie Levandowski; loving brother of Samantha and Madeline; cherished grandson of Louis and Jan Levandowski, and Richard and Marian Grote, Nathan also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Nathan was a fun-spirited young man who excelled at sharing knowledge with others. From training co-workers to helping classmates and encouraging athletes in soccer and volleyball, he was a positive and guiding influence to those around him. One of Nathan’s greatest gifts was to bring joy to those around him. If he knew you were upset, he made it his mission to make you feel better.
As we remember Nathan, we celebrate his beautiful, sweet spirit, his quick smile, and his humor. Although his life was cut tragically short, memories of him will continue to live in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence. He will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 22, at 1pm with visitation at 10 am until the time of service at Indian Hill Bible Church, 36133 N Fairfield Rd., Ingleside, IL.
Memorial Contributions in his name may be made to Camp Ondessonk, which held a special place in Nathan’s heart as his childhood summer camp.
The family would like to thank Advocate Condell Memorial Hospital and all of its ICU’s amazing staff that provided such wonderful care for Nathan (especially Nurse Vanessa and Nurse Audrey).
