Mavis Josephine Haines

On Tuesday, April 16th, after 40 weeks and three days of a healthy pregnancy, we delivered our sweet baby Mavis Josephine straight into the arms of Jesus. Born at 1:43 am, Mavis was 20" long and 5 lbs 15.9 oz. We spent 13 hours loving on her with family before having to say goodbye. Mavis means "songbird" and Josephine means "Jehovah increases." We are thankful for the way she increased our hearts' capacities to love. She was a little peanut with the longest feet and thumbs we’d ever seen on a baby. She had the softest skin and most boopable nose, and we miss her terribly. We had been anticipating her presence in our family for years and been graduating our Thea to the role of big sister for months. We were so ready to welcome Mavis into our family and now we don’t quite know how to go on without her.
