Matthew A Morton

Matthew A Morton, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on June 6, 2024 at the age of 37 in a tragic car accident in North Carolina.

Born on September 17, 1986, Matthew was a kind and compassionate soul who touched the lives of all those around him. He had a deep love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He especially adored his cats and could often be found playing video games with them by his side. Matthew's passion for gaming was evident to all who knew him, and he was known to be an avid player.

In his free time, Matthew enjoyed exploring the great outdoors and taking long walks in nature. He had a great appreciation for the beauty of the world and found solace in its peacefulness. Matthew also had a love for music and could often be found singing along to his favorite songs.

Matthew's memory will be forever cherished by his surviving family members, including his brother, Daniel W Morton, his sisters Jessica R Morton and Rebecca L Morton, and his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel C Morton and his mother Ruby A Morton.

A celebration of Matthew's life will be held in his honor at the Morton family’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Matthew's memory. He had a deep love for animals and would be happy to know that his memory is helping to care for them.

Matthew's kind heart, infectious smile, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and loved.
