Martin John Snezek II, "Marty", was born in Sandusky, Ohio on 5-28-1951, to Frank and Elizabeth Snezek. He was one of 9 children. He attended school in Erie County and graduated from Vermillion High School in 1969. To his dismay, he was drafted into the Air Force at the age of 18 and faithfully served his country from 1969-1975. His last duty station was McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California where he decided to call his home. Soon after that Marty began his lifetime career with the State of California where he worked for 35 years. He retired from the state as a Chief Special Investigator for the Horse Racing Board. After retirement, Marty created a successful handyman business built on integrity, hard work, meticulous craftsmanship and a great sense of humor. Marty was a strong supporter of his VVA Chapter and was an active board member for several years, holding various positions.
