Celebrating the Life of
December 14, 1952 — March 26, 2025
John 14:1-6
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
Marsha leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Marsha Clarke Quinton, 72, of Angier, NC, passed away on March 26, 2025, after battling Alzheimers & ALS for the past few years. She was born on December 14, 1952, in Raleigh, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents; Charlie & Juanita Clarke, and brother, Joe.
Marsha grew up in Lewisville, NC, with her father, Charlie, worked as a Civil Engineer and her mother, Juanita, a high school English teacher. Marsha attended West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, NC and took special interest in horses, cheer and science. She continued her studies at Meredith College and then received a microbiology degree at NC State graduating in 1975. After graduating, she became a microbiologist and worked with Talecris for 40 years.
Marsha married James William Quinton "Billy" on November 28, 1981, and lived in Angier, for over 40 years. She was a devoted mother to Steve (wife Casey), and Mindy (1997-2016), later a cherished grandmother (AKA Ma-Q) to Connor (22), Bryler (17) and Brinley (11). Marsha was so proud to be a wife to the love of her life, Billy, and being Mrs. Claus! She adored traveling in their RV together, all of her sweet puppies, two precious horses, and dreaming with Billy while watching the sunset every night together on their beautiful property. Marsha loved the woods, where she could watch all the nature animals, and their home was such a gift for her.
Marsha lived a life full of love and laughter and was a true beacon of light! Her presence would bring warmth and joy to all who knew her. Marsha's legacy extends far beyond her family, touching the lives of countless friends and neighbors. She was known for her positivity, generosity, compassion, warm heart, unwavering support, never ending list of random animal facts and her ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued! Marsha was strong until the end, never losing her faith even on some of the most difficult days.
We believe that Marsha would want us to celebrate the beautiful life that she loved and enjoyed!
We will forever cherish the countless memories we got the privilege of spending with her. She truly embodied the meaning of being present, being kind, being optimistic even when facing great hardships, and living life to its fullest.
Let us remember the past with gratitude, live the present with enthusiasm, and look forward to the future with hope and faith... Like Marsha did!
We love you and miss you!

Marsha, You had that spark that made life fun. I will be forever grateful for everything you taught me when I started my career at Bayer. This is my wedding shower in 2005 which shows Marsha and other women that took really good care of me in my 20s. Prayers for the family.

It breaks our hearts to hear of Marsha’s passing. Even though we’ve actually spent limited time with Billy and Marsha we feel like we’ve known her our whole life. She always made us feel like part of the family, and always welcome. She will be greatly missed.

We are very sorry for your loss. But she is with God now and no longer in any pain and has all her memories back. Love to you from the Hedges Family
