Mark Kelly

Mark Edward Kelly, of Hyattsville, MD, passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2024 at the age of 69. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends in his final days.

A lifelong resident of Hyattsville, Mark was a lover of nature, fishing, Washington football, and the Baltimore Orioles. Above all else, he loved his family and friends. He took every opportunity to show his love and care for his family, especially his sons Brandon and Daniel. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, Josie and Kennedy, and enjoyed his days as Poppop. His favorite place to be was sitting in his yard, talking to neighbors, and keeping watch over Green Meadows. Over the past year, Mark was able to spend quality time and have long, wonderful conversations with his family. Anyone who knew Mark knows he had a razor sharp wit, which he kept with him until the very end. He was quick to speak his mind, and he was always right.

Mark is survived by the love of his life, Dee Mullarkey, as well as his sons Brandon Kelly (Hanna) and Daniel Kelly (Olivia); his brother Steve Kelly (Lizbeth), sister Clare Lawson, brother Mike Kelly (Lucia), sister Anne Backover (Bobby), brother Paul Kelly (Annie), sister Mary Launi, and sister Patty Zhang (Xi). He leaves behind his granddaughters Josephine Kelly and Kennedy Kelly, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Kelly.
