Celebrating the Life of
September 21, 1955 — February 25, 2024
Psalms 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants".
Marjorie Moriole from Jefferson, TX passed away in Tyler, TX on February 25th, 2024, at the age of 68. She was a beloved mother, sister, auntie, cousin, friend and most importantly, a faithful woman of God. She will be greatly missed.
Marjorie was the historian of our family. She loved being an Andrews and she loved her Mathis family, too! She wanted our family to know about their roots and where we came from, and she was delighted to share information with anyone who had an interest in knowing more about themselves. She would often coordinate yearly family get togethers for her immediate family to attend. Whether it was in Tyler, Jefferson or the Dallas area.
Marjorie proudly represented her family as the 1st to graduate from college. She attended Abilene Christian University where she received her bachelor's degree in psychology.
She taught at Brentwood Christian School in Austin, TX and enjoyed teaching children of all ages at church, whether it was Vacation Bible School, Wednesday night Bible class or Sunday school. It was fulfilling for her to teach God's Word.
She worked for the Texas Attorney General's office for 35 years. During her many years with the State, she was a Child Support Officer, Regional Case Analyst, Child Support Investigator, Technical Writer and a Systems Analyst.
Marjorie partnered with Create-a-Book's "McGruff and Me" program and created custom books for children throughout elementary schools in Tyler, TX which promoted literacy and taught children how to avoid becoming victims of crime. She made these books on her own. Entering the information, printing the pages and binding the books. All of this while still working her full-time job at the State with the Attorney General's Office.
Marjorie was a continuous supporter of various charities, organizations, selflessly gave of herself within her church and created spaces for people to strengthen their faith in God and knowledge of the Word. However, she wouldn't tell you that. She was humble and didn't require praise or recognition for the things she did for people or causes. As long as she was able to help, encourage or do something that let you know you were special, that's what mattered to her, most.
Things Mom (Marjorie) loved: Flowers and gardening. Being near the water. Especially, the beach or ocean. Travelling and sight-seeing. Spending time on her patio. Cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite programs were: The Waltons, The Andy Griffith Show, old Westerns and Finding Your Roots.
Her parents, five brothers and three sisters, Joe Earl, C.J. and Lloyd H. Andrews, David Andrews, Robert N. Andrews, Hattie Sherman, Wyolene Nixon and Velma L. Andrews, preceded her in death.
Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory: daughters Marcia R. Moriole, of Flint, TX and Victoria Moriole of Austin, TX; brother, James L. (Carolyn) Andrews of Cedar Hill, Texas; and sisters, Ruby L. Bailey and Rubenstene (Robert) Jacobs of Jefferson, Texas. She was "Aunt Marge" or "Margy" to her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Respects can be paid during her funeral at Shady Grove Church of Christ on 2145 Ma County Road 3406, Jefferson, TX, on Saturday, March 9th at 12 P.M.

Remembering the time we shared with Majorie in Lake Placid New York. We had lots of fun and enjoyed her cooking! She is missed, but is always in our hearts. We are all blessed that we had her in our lives.

After worshipping with a song and placed the remembrance stone at the foot of this cross. In His Grace, Vickie.

A fun memory us hanging out together.

There are so many words & emotions that speak of the impact that Marjorie made in my life from when we first met decades ago in Austin, Tx. She so loves Marcia & Victoria. I truly miss this woman's beautiful soul, but also grateful that the Lord now has her. I was near this prayer garden when I learned of Marjorie going to be with the Jesus who we talked so much about back in the day. I couldn't help but reflect on many of the times we spent together, so I thought I'd leave a stone at the foot of the cross as a remembrance to her. Be at peace my friend, life has now truly come. See you, Vickie.
Cousin Marjorie was such a integral part of the Andrews family. Even as a child, I remember her sharing history and the family tree. I was excited to go to the library and look around the genealogy floor. I appreciate her contribution to teaching us our history. She will be truly missed.

Marjorie and Lena at Kameron’s graduation. The grandson of their brother Lloyd. Marjorie has been there for so many occasions. She will be missed.
Marjorie is one of my dearest spiritual sister-friends. We have shared many years of precious memories in the Lord. She was the first Sister-in-Christ that I shared my life, hopes and dreams with through study, devotionals, singing, and prayer. I know that she is resting easy over on the other shore. She was a faithful and true hard-fighting soldier on the battlefield for Christ and His church until she finished her course. I praise God every time I think of the relationship between she and I. It’s a great blessing to me. Her spirit will always be in my heart.
