Marilyn Thomas

Marilyn (Maxwell) Thomas passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023 at the age of 76 after a brief illness.
Daughter of the late George and Mary Maxwell; beloved mother of Daniel Litchfield (Jennifer Lassonde), Matthew Litchfield (wife Kristin Fortin Litchfield), David Thomas (wife Jenna Venuto Thomas), and Kathryn Thomas Yunits (husband Anthony Yunits). Cherished grandmother of Willard & Aila Litchfield, Gabriella & Zachary Thomas. Also survived by her siblings Donald Maxwell, Ben Maxwell, Joanne Pomakis, Diane McDonald, and many nieces and nephews; predeceased by sister Roseanne Hutchinson. Marilyn was born on February 24, 1947. She sang in church choirs, worked her administrative magic at Bennett & Associates and later at Bank of America where she was praised for her dedication and hard work. She married Bill Litchfield, with whom she had two sons, Daniel and Matthew. She was beloved by the Litchfield family and enjoyed trips to the local Scituate beaches. Marilyn later married Allen Thomas with whom she had two more children David and Kathryn. They enjoyed many adventures together as a family of six. Marilyn will always be remembered for her strength and her warmth. Relatives and friends are invited to join for a funeral service on Thursday July 6 at 11:00am at the Hingham Congregational Church located at 378 Main Street in Hingham, Massachusetts. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
