Celebrating the Life of
December 6, 1952 — May 25, 2024
Lisea Louise Spahr (Foltz) age 71, of Red Lion PA, formerly of Lewistown, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
She was loved by so many. Those lucky enough to be love by her were loved whole heartedly. She was always caring for others and putting herself last. She loved to laugh! And she wanted the last laugh, so she wrote her own obituary;
I was born on December 6, 1952 to the late Bernard E. and Esther V. (Geedey) Foltz.
I leave behind my best friend ever and the greatest achievement of my life, my daughter, Nicole Lynch (Gisewhite). I am blessed to have lived with her and her husband, Matthew. My grandchildren, Garrett and Gracie Lynch, are the light of my life. There are no words to describe the joy of being their Nana. I love them all so very much. We all have such a strong bond. Don’t be sad, I’m going where it smells like fresh dried linens on the clothes line! It’s time for my favorite song… “Spirit in the Sky”
I am survived by my brother Jeffery Foltz and wife Tammy, my sister Leah Bretz, my brother-in-law Charles Doyle and my sister-in-law Sue Foltz. I have many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with my parents I was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen Foltz and Scott Foltz. My sister Leta Lynn Doyle and my brother-in-law Renny Bretz. I am anticipating a celestial reunion! I have the best memories growing up with my family. We simply got along. We respected and loved one another.
I graduated from LGHS in 1970. I waitressed at many restaurants and retired from Phillips Ultrasound in 2012. After retirement, I worked for a year at Joe’s OIP where my brother Jeff and his wife Tam are the owners. I enjoyed working there most of all. I took great pleasure in caring for my family and my home. I prided myself in being an optimist! I enjoyed working outside and getting my hands dirty, digging in the dirt and watching things grow. I have lived a wonderful and fulfilling life with a loving family and many friends. I volunteered when I could at meals on wheels, Mifflin County Abuse Network, Lewistown Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.
I chose to donate my body to science and help others. I wish for no services. Memorial Donation can be made to Mission MSA, https://www.missionmsa.org
Please share a photo or video, or post a heartfelt condolence to the family.

Lisea was my best friend and I will always have a special place in my heart for her! We were friends for over 30 years and my best memories are just spending time with her!! We laughed, we cried laughing and we cried during bad times in our life. And boy did we dance! She was such an amazing dancer! I had trouble keeping up with her! Even the last couple of years that we saw each other, she always had a smile on her face even if she was in pain. She will always be a part of me! I love you so much Lisea and we will dance together when we meet again!!

I had the pleasure of sharing 27 wonderful years of life with Lisea. Not much is known about Lisea’s fatal illness MSA. I know it was insidious in how it changed her. She truly was “one of a kind”! Family meant more to her than anything. Her daughter, Garrett and Gracie came first in every thought she had. Her sense of adventure and enthusiasm served her well in whatever she was doing. Her sense of humor was always sharp. She should have been a nurse with the way she responded to anyone with an injury. She loved to cook and usually made more than we could eat and would share with family and neighbors on a regular basis. She was a tender person but given the right circumstances and her Hawstone heritage would pounce on you! Lisea loved to travel and we saw much of the world together. She has now made the final journey from this Earth and is resting with “The Spirit in The Sky”. Even though she stopped loving me I never stopped loving her, and never will!

Lisea rubbing in her vacation to Florida! 😂😂 I loved that Lisea got to go on that vacation…she came back from Florida, and couldn’t wait to tell us all about it. Lisea was so special…she always worked hard, had a smile on her face, and gave the best hugs! I’m so sorry she has passed, but I know she is moving, shaking and exercising in Heaven!

Lisea working hard in OT! This was amazing…could hold a plank for about 45 seconds! This was 2022.

Lisea working hard in OT! I loved working with Lisea in OT..she always worked hard, and was quick with a smile❤️
i was liseas full time caregiver and I must say I enjoyed every minute of it, we shared many laughs, and I will miss visiting her along with her family. She cared about her appearance to the very very end and I’m so glad that I was able to help her with that. This was a terrible cruel disease, but she made the most of it every day.🩷

This is a poem that Mom felt strongly about and she it wanted shared with everyone.
Touching poem-I can hear your mom saying all of those things! You were so lucky to have her, as was she to you. What you two shared was amazing-if only all mother-daughter relationships could be so wonderful. She’s smiling down on you! Love you!
