Celebrating the Life of
May 18, 1949 — August 1, 2024
We mourn the passing of Linda Lee Boudreaux (Caple), daughter of Velma and Clarence Caple who passed away on the morning of August 1, 2024 after her long battle with cancer. Linda dedicated her career and life to children and helping people. She retired from the Candor School District, where she served as a bus driver and a food services worker. Her kindness and dedication were felt by countless students and families over the years, she always tried to make each kid feel valued, safe and as one of her own kids.
Her hobbies included watching WWE, crafts, sewing, making the best scrubbies (sorry Scrub Daddy hers were better) and extending a warm, helping hand to anyone who entered her home always making sure you were fed if you crossed the threshold. Her generosity and caring spirit made a lasting impact on all that crossed her path.
Beyond her professional life, Linda was a loving wife to Roy Boudreaux, the love of her life, who she married August 22, 1970 in a small ceremony. She was a foster mom, adopted mom and a step-in mom for anyone who called her mom or grandma to her blood did not drive who deserved her love or who she cared for.
She is preceded in death by her sons Fred, Joe and Vernon and her parents Velma and Clarence. She is survived by her husband Roy, daughter April and fiancé Leslie, her son David, her cherished grandchildren: Fred, Sueann, Kiera Rose, Abraham (AJ), Jaxson and Nicholas. She is also lovingly remembered by several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other friends and previous coworkers.
Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
