Celebrating the Life of
May 16, 1971 — January 26, 2025
Laurie Ann Millam passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025 after an almost 8 year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Laurie Ann Millam was born on May 16th, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Laurie was an amazing mother, wife, and friend. The one thing that really defined her was the positive impact she left on our lives. She loved the world and everyone in it. Especially her husband and daughters, Glenn Millam, Jazmine Stiff, and Victoria Wilcox. She would do anything for those she considered family. Laurie raised her daughters to be honest and kind.
Laurie was a part of the online World of Warcraft community. This is where she met many friends throughout the years who brought her so much joy through the troubles she faced. Laurie was able to meet some of these friends through the Blizzcon event held in California.
Laurie attended Western Kentucky University and was in the class of 1993. Her husband, Glenn Millam, also went to Western Kentucky University which brought so many fond memories for the both of them.
Laurie is survived by her daughters, Victoria Wilcox (Ryan) and Jazmine Stiff (Kyle), husband Glenn Millam, best friends Deirdre Johnson (Matthew) and Squinty, her grandchildren Emelia Stiff and Wyatt Stiff, family friend Joel Hruska, and a large amount of online friends she gained over the years.
No services are planned at this time. However, a memorial dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, Shalimar, was held on January 29th, 2025.
Memorial gifts may be made to any charitable organization that helps those with intellectual and physical disabilities. Laurie loved everyone and wanted to leave a positive impact.
Please share a photo or video, or post a heartfelt condolence to the family.

I worked with Eveanyn online in the WoW community. I'm trying to come up with something to type here and so I looked back at our past messages and I rewatched our virtual meetings on Reddit. I don't know what part to mention of the supportive messages, mom moments, mentorship, and role modeling that she did for me. To be honest, the only thing I can say is that I am so incredibly lucky to have known her and my life is fundamentally changed for it. She had so much love to give us and it was apparent with every thing she had done for us. I love her incredibly and will miss her (and her sick rainbow hair) so very very much. I'll always love and think of you, Eveanyn. Your lessons and love will stay with me forever. I hope someday we see each other in Azeroth again, but until then, rest easy. <3
I met Laurie/Nyn through the world of warcraft community and I have to say she was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I do not think she had a mean-spirited bone in her body. She and I frequently discussed health related topics together and it seemed like she drew from an infinite well of strength and wisdom that motivated me to face my own situations with more grace. She was a quiet mentor for a large amount of people - myself included - and her loss is very deeply felt across the communities she participated in. I will always remember the faith she placed in me and do my best to honor it. She embodied the positive spirit that gaming communities can bring others, and her legacy will carry on through those of us who took her attitude and lessons to heart as we attempt to pass them on to even more people.

We online friends knew Laurie as Nyn, one of the warmest, kindest people to grace our timelines. While she played a priest in-game, she was a warrior in real life. She was an incredible person who will be missed everyday. My heart goes out to her family 💜
