This picture was taken on May 19th, 2023 at the Keio Plaza in Tokyo. Mrs T. will always be an inspiration to us.

I knew Kiyo for years (decades) through my friendship with Debra and Craig and Jayna and Trisha - but this was the day that we went to lunch I heard so many stories about her amazing life. Kiyo is always so positive and happy and strong and her legacy lives on through her daughters and their amazing families!

Birthday celebration with family and sisters.

I have so many memories of Aunty Kiyoko dating back to childhood and the one(s) that has been most precious to me is this gathering of the elders most recently.

It is hard to find enough words to describe what a fabulous person Mrs T was. She was the definition of gracious, friendly, thoughtful and loving. The best part of her legacy is that she passed her beautiful qualities to her daughters; her warmth and grace live on so clearly through them. It was a true honor for all of us in the Quan family to have her in our lives. We will miss her deeply.
I am one of Kay's longtime neighbors that live on Monterey Ct NE in Renton. Kay was always such a kind soul, interested in community and how others were doing. She will be remembered fondly for sharing her delicious sponge cakes, creating a neighborhood emergency contact list so that we could all watch out for each other, and for encouraging neighborhood gatherings to get to know each other better (we ended up helping to organize 2 of these such gatherings). What a blessing she was to our neighborhood. We were all sad that she left our street to move to downtown Renton recently but were overjoyed to hear from her that she loved her new home and community! She will be missed. The world needs more people like her.
Kiyo was one of the sweetest grandmas/friends to my family. As Debra’s neighbor and friend with our kids the same age, my family had the honor and privilege to get to know her and be pampered by her. “Grandma Kiyo” would bake her scrumptious lemon chiffon cakes to share with us and other neighbors. She participated on field trips with Jayna, Trisha and our kids during elementary school years, and she always would make an effort to fly in and stayed a week long trip for Debra and her family. We miss Kiyo, her sweet smiles, her gentleness, and radiant warmth. May her soul rest in a tranquil and serene place with abundant love and lights. She will always be in our hearts!!💕 Yimei Serene, Gary, Robin and David

Forever by my side

A lovely walk in the park.

Aunty Kiyo with wonderful surprise gifts.
My condolences to the Takashima family. I met Kiyoko only a few times. She was a lovely person.
She treated me to a movie and dinner for my birthday. I remember seeing Mrs. Doubtfire, Forever Young and Titanic with her. Afterwards we'd go to Sizzler. Core memories. ❤️ RIP

Kiyo was one of the kindest and warmest humans I’ve ever met. She was a dear dharma friend and I’ll miss seeing her at the Betsuin. My condolences to the family.

Wonderful time at the FBWA Convention!

Sweet time with my Mom. Shared some good laughs. Xoxo
