Celebrating the Life of
April 19, 1965 — January 26, 2024
Funeral Director
Kimberli Rae Cahow, age 58, of Dumfries, VA passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband Rodney Cahow, loving children Kyle Middlekauff (Kristin Middlekauff), Taylor Guerrero (Timothy Guerrero), Emma Stoneberger (Benjamin Sowers), Amanda Pouliot (Joseph Pouliot), and Matthew Cahow, grandchildren Savannah, Grayson, Coleson, Timothy Jr., and Magnolia, brother Chris Parker (Dawn Parker) and nephew Mitchell Parker, with many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceding in her death is her mother Diann Elizabeth DiJoseph Parker, her father Richard Morrison Parker, along with both sets of grandparents & her unborn granddaughter Avery Grace.
Kim was born on April 9th, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She spent her young years living in Syracuse, Pennsylvania and Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania. She lived her teenage years in Ocean City, New Jersey and graduated high school in 1983. She attended Lycoming College where she got her Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Marketing in 1987. After getting her Bachelor’s, she had Kyle in 1989. 4 years later, a little baby girl was born, Taylor, in 1993. Fast forward a couple years and a few states, Kim moved to Virginia where Emma was born in 2003. She got her Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University, shortly after Emma was born. She was a Special Education Teacher from 2004-2017. In 2017, Kim was offered a soft ware testing position out of Rosslyn, VA. That is what she did up until the day she was diagnosed in 2022. In 2013, Kim met Rodney along with his 2 children, Amanda and Matthew. Our 2 families clicked instantly. We became one big happy family, and sometimes even forgot the “step” title was there. In 2019, Kim and Rodney married in Plant City Florida. We are one big blended family, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kim enjoyed everything bright and fun. The beach, her flower garden, and most importantly her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, brother, sister-in-law, & her nephew. She loved intensely, cared gently, and made sure everyone she met knew they were loved.

I am so heartbroken to hear of the loss of Kim. She was an amazing teacher and coach and truly dedicated her time to her students and athletes. I will always appreciate her willingness to step in as the freshman cheer coach when she was new at Potomac. She and the girls had a special bond and she was a true blessing to work with. I pray for you all during your time of grief.
Although my time was brief with Kimberli, she was a pleasure to work with. I could hear her smile as she talked (in a remote meeting without a webcam). We sent so many prayers for her and your family! Until we meet again on the street of gold, Claire

My son, daughter and I were invited to Tim and Taylor’s engagement party. We felt so welcome like we were a part of the family! RIP ! You are truly missed and loved by all the lives you have touched! Debbie and family
