Jose “Jhun” Rojas

Jhun Rojas, aged 57, was called to his eternal rest on the evening of February 19, 2024, in Long Beach, CA. Born on February 13, 1967, in the Bronx, NY, he was a cherished son to Maria Rojas and the late Jose Giancarlo Rojas. Jhun lived a life marked by the humility of his beginnings, the respect he harbored for creation, and the gratitude he felt for every moment on this earth.

As a steward of the earth and an entrepreneur, he led J&G Contracting Company with a spirit of service. Jhun found solace in the roar of a motorcycle, the tranquility of fishing, and the simple joy of dirt bike riding—pastimes that reflected his profound appreciation for the world's natural wonders.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in his family: his devoted mother, Maria; his daughters, Maria of Bronx, Stephanie of New Jersey, Shinellerose of Connecticut; and his son, Jose Jr. He is predeceased by his sister, Annabella Martinez.

The Rojas family extends an invitation to join them in honoring Jhun's memory at All Souls Cemetery & Mortuary, 4400 Cherry Ave. Long Beach, California 90807. The service will commence at 10:30 am on February 21, 2024, with visiting hours preceding the service from 3 to 5 PM on Tuesday. His interment will be conducted in private, as a reflection of the family's wish for peace and contemplation.

In Jhun's passing, we are reminded of the fleeting nature of life and the call to live each day with reverence for God's creation. May his soul be embraced by the Almighty's love and may he find eternal peace in the kingdom of Heaven.
