Celebrating the Life of
November 14, 1937 — January 3, 2025
John Nolen, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Fort Myers, Florida, on January 3, 2025. Born on November 13, 1937, John lived a life rich with passion and purpose that touched the hearts of many.
A true tinkerer at heart, John had an innate curiosity about how things worked. Whether it was fixing up old machinery or crafting unique projects in his workshop, he approached every task with enthusiasm and creativity. His hands were often busy creating something new or repairing what others deemed broken—a reflection of his belief that everything has value if given the right care.
John was also deeply involved in the rodeo community. He found joy not only in participating but also in supporting local events where friends gathered to celebrate their shared love for this vibrant culture. His laughter echoed through arenas as he cheered on competitors and offered words of encouragement to those who needed them most.
Above all else, John's greatest pride came from his family. He is survived by his devoted daughter Joan Nixon and cherished grandchildren who brought him immense joy throughout his life. The bond they shared was unbreakable; he reveled in telling stories from his past while listening intently to their dreams for the future.
As we remember John Nolen today—his kindness towards others and unwavering spirit—we are reminded that although he may no longer walk among us physically, the legacy of love he leaves behind will continue to inspire all who knew him.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for your support during this difficult time. A service honoring John's remarkable life will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home located at 290 Nicholas Parkway Cape Coral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local charities supporting youth programs within the rodeo community—an endeavor close to John's heart.
Rest easy now, dear John; you have left an indelible mark on our lives that will forever shine brightly like stars against a night sky filled with memories we hold dear.
