John R. Langdale IV, better known as Tobey, passed away in his sleep on August 18, 2022, in Old Town, FL. Tobey was born on February 17, 1964, in Clewiston, FL, to John Franklin Langdale II and Yvonne Pollard Langdale. He spent most of his life residing in Moore Haven, Florida. Tobey is survived by his four daughters, Jessica Anderson, Sabrina Swanson, Angela Langdale, and Briana Stimpfle-Langdale; his brother, John (Mark) Langdale III; and his fiancée, Catherine Crawford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Pollard Langdale; his father, John Franklin Langdale II; and his granddaughter, Ariana Pickett. On the outside, Tobey may have seemed like a simple man, and in many ways, he was. He'd comment on every sunset he saw, each one beautiful in his eyes. He would pick flowers for the people he loved, his favorite being lilies. But there was also a depth to him, the kind that catches you off guard. He would write love letters, play guitar, and sing songs to his daughters. Tobey faced many hurdles in his life, but even when darkness tried to latch onto him, he maintained a positive outlook on the world.
