It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joanna Kauth, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left us too soon on November 19, 2024, at the age of 25. Joanna was born on August 3, 1999, in Bloomfield, and her vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Joanna was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Maureen Grealish, whose love and guidance shaped Joanna into the remarkable person she became. Joanna is survived by her cherished family, including her devoted siblings Trish Grealish, Paula Arnold, Derek Johnson, Frank Williams, and Quinn Wilson. Each of them holds fond memories of Joanna that will forever remain in their hearts.

Joanna’s pursuit of knowledge was evident from an early age. Her passion led her to the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she studied criminal law. In May 2023, she proudly received her Bachelor’s degree, a testament to her hard work and determination. Joanna aspired to make a difference in the world, and she carried her dreams with her throughout her journey.

In her time with us, Joanna was known for her kindness, compassion, and unyielding support for those she loved. She had an innate ability to make others feel valued and cherished. Her laughter was contagious, and her adventurous spirit inspired many to embrace life fully. Joanna's warmth and positivity will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In recognition of the compassionate care Joanna received, the family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Nebraska Medicine. Their unwavering support during her time of need was invaluable and provided comfort to Joanna and her loved ones.

A private funeral service will be held on November 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM at McKown Funeral Home. This intimate gathering will honor Joanna's life and celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind.

As we say goodbye to Joanna, let us remember her radiant smile, her kindness, and her zest for life. She may have left this world, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
