Jasmine Nija Joy was born on November 22, 1998. She departed this earthly life on February 6, 2023.
Jasmine joined Macedonia Missionary Church in Hoffman , North Carolina and was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a Macedonia Youth Choir member and blessed
many with her beautiful voice.
Jasmine attended Moore County Schools and graduated from Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina . Jasmine loved playing basketball in middle school , high school , and AAU. She won several awards , including “ Best All Around “ and “ Best Defensive Player.”
Jasmine graduated from Winston Salem State University n May 2021 Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Psychology. She was on the Honor Roll / Dean’s List every semester of college. Jasmine also competed the ISSA program and become a Certified Fitness Trainer. Jasmine was recently accepted into Winston Salem State University’s Graduate School of Business to pursue her Master’s Degree in Business.
Jasmine aspired to be an entrepreneur and own her Fitness Facility to ensure physical fitness in our community. With her work ethic and determination, Jasmine would surely accomplish her dreams .
Jasmine loved to travel and met no strangers . Her sweet spirit shined wherever she went . Her sense of fashion and style was admired by all.
Jasmine leaves to cherish her memories, her parents , Maurice and Erika Joy , of the home ; four sisters , Sandra Wooten ( Eric), Janai Jarvis , Yanai Jarvis , and Danyell Smith ; two brothers, Jalen Joy and Jerod Bratcher; her grandparents, Alfred and Hazel Nicholson and Gevenva K. Joy ; one great grandmother, Mary Kearns, her godparents aunt/ uncle) Deborah and Seymour Johnson , and aunt , Selemia Maness ; two uncles , Andre Joy and Derrick Joy ( Melissa ); her godsister, Zion Green ; her godmothers , Stephon Goodwin ( Chyna), Dashon Goodwin , Elijah Watkins , Ishmael Pearson and De’ Andre Barnes ; her special friends , Symphanie , Latoya , Nadia , Kayla, Destiny, Jeter , Nyasia and Teanna; and a host of other family members and friends.

To my Beautiful Princess Jasmine, Happy First HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY as u turn 25!!! As I left the gravesite today, I felt NUMB! I miss you EVERY moment of EVERY SINGLE DAY! My like without you will never ever be the same. I’m so grateful to know that the depth of your love has impacted the lives of numerous people. I will Honor your precious memories as the Holy Spirit leads me. You left us before the births of your nieces and nephews. I am committed to letting each one of them about their lovely Auntie Jazz. I imagine you have a Heavenly Assignment now. Rest safe in the arms of Almighty God. I love you today, tomorrow and forever more.
