Janice “Jan” Faye McCreary, born on December 18, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home in Bloomington, Indiana, on September 19, 2024. She lived with her beloved sister, Tabatha Smith, brother-in-law Jimmy Smith, and niece Rachel.
Jan was preceded in death by her late husband, David; her father, Howard McCreary; her mother, Barbara McCreary; and her brother, Douglas McCreary. She is survived by her elder brother, Walter McCreary; younger brother, Kelly McCreary; and younger sister, Tabatha Smith.
A talented artist and gifted baker, Jan brought joy to countless family celebrations with her beautifully decorated cakes. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her artistic talents, and her deep love for her family as a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and wife.
In lieu of a formal service, her family invites all who knew and loved Jan to celebrate her life with the sharing of memories and cherished moments.
