Celebrating the Life of
September 5, 1947 — November 6, 2023
Jane Elizabeth Ott (nee Blackwood) passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 76 in Lake Forest, California. She was born on September 5, 1947, in Manhattan, NY. Jane was a kind-hearted and free-spirited woman who touched the lives of many with her selflessness and generosity.
In her early life, Jane worked as an airline stewardess, but she gave up her career when she married. She dedicated the majority of her professional life to serving others as a house supervisor in homes for the mentally disabled, working for the State of New York.
Outside of her career, Jane had a passion for crafting and crocheting. She enjoyed cooking, watching the Hallmark channel, and immersing herself in a good book. Her warm and caring nature made her beloved by all, and she made friends wherever she went.
Jane is survived by her loving daughters, Dory Klinchuch (husband Brent Klinchuch) and Marie Miranda (husband Rudy Miranda), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Emalyn Klinchuch, Jacob Miranda, Kaela Miranda, Dante Miranda, and Ethan Klinchuch. She is also survived by her sister, Cookie McDonnell, and many beloved nieces and nephews as well as her pug Stanley and kitty Ollie. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Fred Ott, and her parents, Mercedes "Mary" Worthman and Robert Blackwood.
Jane Elizabeth Ott will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her kind spirit and loving nature will forever be remembered.

Mom & the grandkids 2021. This was a running joke for us. When she moved to California in 2019 she decided her Christmas cards would be her with all the grandkids. Each year we'd set up a photoshoot and end up with a ton of photos of her looking everywhere BUT the camera! All the kids would be fine - it was her! This would end up in me yelling at her to stay focused and the kids laughing hysterically.
