James D Carr, long time resident of Southern California, passed away December 17, 2023 at the age of 77 after a short battle with dementia. He was in the care of Barlow Respiratory Care of Van Nuys, CA.
James was originally a son of Iowa, born October 9, 1946.
James, or Jim as he preferred, was a father and husband and an accomplished architect. He spent most of life in Southern California and his younger life in San Francisco. James is preceeded in death by both his parents Butch Carr and Shirley DeShannon, his sister Barbera and Jean, his son James and grandson Cameron.
He is survived by his ex wife Kathi Myers, his son Gregory and daughter Shellean as well as grandsons Cody James, Cameron Alexander,
Ashley Laine, Cassie, Shelby Lynn, and Autuumn. He is also survived by several beautiful great grandchildren.
There will be no services as per his request and his ashes will be spread at a private service.
James will be sorely missed by all of us.
