Life - by Unknown Life is just a stepping-stone A pause before we make it home A simple place to rest and be, Until we reach eternity. Everyone has a life journey, A path to take with lots to see God guides our steps along the way, But we were never meant to stay. Our final destination is a place Filled with love, His majesty and grace. Today we celebrate the life of a loved one Who has gone before us, the race he has won. His journey has now ended, His spirit has ascended Claiming the great reward With Jesus, our Lord. Goodbye Grandpa Jim. I love you, Fiona.

Well, it took almost 80 years to get dad into a Santa Hat. I think he had to wait for his beard to grey. Ho Ho Ho! Jim loved to get chocolate covered cherries for Christmas and always loved the cards and food gifts from his sister and brother. He actually loved fruit cake too! Thanks for always joining us for Christmas dad. You will be greatly missed.

Silly Smile @ Father's day a few years back. Dad loved a buffet....

Dad used to love to meet me for lunch at the rooftop garden in Oakland.

Brown Family Reunion many years ago. Jim is the second from the left in the back row. He almost always had a beard. The one year he shaved it off he was almost unrecognizable! Where did the time go?
My dad was competitive and loved to play tennis and ping pong. Once he even got so into a ping pong tournament at the senior center that he dove for the ball and broke his wrist. He was actually proud of this "sports injury.
I'll ever be grateful for the help you gave me when my own family would not. Farewell.
My dad, Jim loved coaching soccer, writing software, playing tennis, camping, fishing and napping! He appreciated the beauty of nature and spent time with friends from the "beach combers" group and the Concord senior center. After my mom died, he spent time trying new things like sailing, square dancing, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and hiking. I will always remember his love of nature and his love of writing "code"!
