Celebrating the Life of
February 13, 1936 — January 4, 2024
Idabelle Fisher
1936 - 2024
Idabelle Fisher (Neue) passed away from cancer on January 4th 2024 surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ronald Fisher, her two daughters, Roxann Martinez (Arturo) and Suzette Carlson (Myron), her deceased son Timothy Fisher (Janice), her seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Born Idabelle Mae Neue on February 13th, 1936 in Chippiwa Falls, Wisconsin, the Neue family moved to Everett, WA in the 1940s. There she met and married her high school sweetheart and husband, Ronald Fisher. They set an incredible example of love and family for 70 years, including time spent living in Alaska, Montana, Wyoming and finally settling back in Washington.
Idabelle was a caring and nurturing woman who enriched all the lives she touched. What people will always remember about her is how much she cared. She had such a big heart, and in times of need she was always there whether to lend an ear, or be a shoulder to cry on. She kissed away boo-boos and iced down bumps on the head with practiced ease. She was always there when teenagers brooded and was always a safe refuge when friends and family needed it.
Her home was welcome to all. Her neighbors adored her and made her an unofficial great-great-grandmother of the neighborhood. She touched a lot of lives, and won’t soon be forgotten.
She was an incredibly special kind of person who will be forever loved and missed.
There will be a small get together held at 4566 Lopez Drive, Ferndale, on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We welcome friends and family that would like to pay their respects.
