Celebrating the Life of
December 22, 1963 — May 1, 2023
Holly Diann Charydczak passed away May 1, 2023 at the age of 59. Holly is survived by her husband, Mark Charydczak, her two children, Bryce and Jenna Charydczak, her mother, Connie Vetter, and sister Trinity Whitefeather.
Holly was born and raised in Peters Township, PA. Once she graduated from Peters Township High School she earned a degree in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan College, meeting her eventual husband of 36 years while there. Holly’s love of warm weather made her look South and brought the newlyweds to Charleston and eventually Summerville, SC. Holly worked tirelessly for 32 years in labor and delivery mainly for St. Francis Xavier Hospital. Holly was a fierce patient advocate, cheerleading her patients to the best outcome they could get. Holly raised two wonderful children, often volunteering at their schools to be more involved with their education and growth.
Holly loved functional but creative craftwork, mainly sewing funky and folksy handbags, masks, doggie bags and leashes. Holly also enjoyed refinishing and repurposing old furniture. She also was able to step out of her comfort zone on a number of occasions and enjoyed skydiving, kayaking, water skiing, ebiking, and golfing. Holly loved her neighborhood and convinced her husband to stay there for 31 years; while walking her dogs a noting many of the changes to the neighborhood. She would stop and talk to neighbors while walking often, curious of what issues were at hand.
Throughout her life, Holly was a vibrant and determined person who spared no effort to do what was right. She was someone who cared to a fault, however, eventually exhausting her ability to weather life’s challenges. She did manage to care for her mother the last three years of her life, establishing a relationship she did not have before; which Holly treasured.
Holly’s presence will be sorely missed by many. Her ability to cut right to the heart of an issue connected her with thousands of patients and hundreds of friends. Hollys loving husband, children, and extended family will not be the same without her.

Pan and hayley brooks love you Mark and Bryce and Jenna. We miss Holly every day. We loved talking with mark and Holly when we were out on walks. When I was younger Holly and Mark would put me on the bus so my mom could be at work. I loved being around Holly's family growing up.
Mark, we are so sorry to hear of Holly's passing. Though we only met once she greeted us with a smile and you could tell she was a special person. Somewhere there's another angel looking over you and your family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Love Cindy and Terry Bussell
My hope for you all is to hold the good memories of Holly in the front of your minds always. Let the healthy parts of her spirit outshine all else whenever you think of her and talk to her. 🙏🦋
