Celebrating the Life of
July 19, 1961 — March 17, 2023
Fredric Alan Minor was born July 19, 1961 in Houston, TX. Being the baby of 5 gave him a confidence and charisma that people were drawn to. Fred had two main passions : music and fast cars. As a lifelong auto mechanic, he owned his own auto shop, M&M Technology–later Classik Automotive Repair– in Houston. His knowledge of vehicles was highly sought after and the work brought him satisfaction.
Music had always been a part of Fred's life as well. He loved to accompany his older brother on the bass in addition to serving his church as a Deacon and musician. He had a way of thumping his strings and tapping his head that was all his own.
Fred is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Robbie Whaley, father, Clifford "Jack" Minor, and older brothers Michael "Slick" Minor and Arthur Minor. He is survived by his wife, Annette Thomas, children, Jazzmin(Steve) Smith, and Tay-Shunn Minor, sisters Ruby "Jewel" Brown and Shirley Jackson, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was extremely proud of being a "PawPaw" and expressed on many occasions how it brought him his greatest joy. Fred will be sorely missed on earth, but his family finds peace in knowing he has run his race, and he is finally experiencing eternal reward.
Please share a photo or video, or post a heartfelt condolence to the family.

One of the best things I liked is how everything was able to come full circle. I remember being 5 years old and my dad putting me in his 68 camaro at Royal Purple Raceway, and I was able to ride to the staging lanes with him. I’m glad I was able to return the favor with the many race cars I’ve owned. That was our common bond. The love of fast cars.

Woke up the whole neighborhood 😐

The fellowship that I enjoyed sharing with you will always be Rest in heaven. Sis Bullard of NJBC💖 a church where love abides🙏

Merry Christmas, Daddy. I still don't understand why you couldn't be here. You're missing so much.
Hi, Daddy. Just coming to visit. I hope you had a good day today! It's still weird that you aren't here, but I know you're ok. Aubrianna says hi!
Uncle Fred will be greatly missed. I know he is resting and singing in the heavenly choir. My family and I will keep you in our prayers Aunt Net, Jazzy, and Tashun.
May you Rest In Peace Mr. Fred, you will be so missed by so many people. God loaned you to us for awhile and now He has called you home. You were always such a special man to my son, Dustin and I. You took him under your wing and taught him about cars, about life and how to be an upstanding young man. My son, Dustin and I has always cherished the purple car you gave to him. He has proudly displayed it under lights in the beautiful entertainment center he built with his own hands. We love you and miss you Mr Fred. Thank You for everything. Until we see you again, Love Vivian and ( Dustin).
