About Frederick
Fred was born in Denver Colorado to his parents Marjorie and Frederick W. Ruble. His father was tragically killed in a glider accident when Fred was two. He spent most of his childhood and growing up years in Milwaukee and then Mequon Wisconsin. He attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he met his wife Marti Hoekema and they were married on May 29, 1976. He received his bachelors degree in business at Aquinas College, also in Grand Rapids. Fred, like his father, loved flying and he obtained his pilot's license in 1976. He and Marti enjoyed a few years of flying adventures before their children were born. Fred worked as an investment broker at various investment firms throughout his life. His family and children, Carrie, Jim and Dan, were his greatest joys in life, and providing for them was the highest achievement that he could ever hope for. He also cherished any time that he could spend with his grandchildren: Reyna, Cole, Julia, Alaina and Elle. Fred loved the Lord and his diagnosis did not frighten him because he knew that he was going to his forever home in heaven. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
