Eva Maria Szumigala, affectionately known as Eva, passed away on August 9, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on November 18, 1931, in Buffalo, NY, and most recently resided in Savannah, GA. Eva had a vibrant sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. She had a deep love for her family and treasured spending time with them more than anything else. Eva was a dedicated history teacher and found great fulfillment in her profession. Her proudest accomplishments and contributions in life revolved around her family. Eva was married to Eric for 57 years, creating a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they raised their son Micheal, who brought immense pride and happiness to Eva's life. She was also blessed with the love and joy of her grandchildren, Michelle and Phillip. Eva will be remembered for her infectious laughter, warm heart, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind cherished memories and an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched. Eva's presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
