Eugene Dwayne Hunt, born on July 16, 1945, in Houston, Texas, passed away on February 8, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Eugene honorably served as a Marine and was stationed in Japan during his military service. Eugene's unwavering dedication to duty and country was a defining part of his life. Beyond his service, Eugene found joy in the simple blessings of life—Hunting, Fishing, Reading the Bible, and cherishing time spent with his grandchildren.
Eugene is survived by his son, Jerry Hunt; daughter, Juanita Hunt; grandchildren, Kayla Hunt and Jeremy Hunt; and great-grandsons, Ashton Dowless and Maverick Hunt. Eugene was predeceased by his parents, Marybeth Davis and Eugene Hunt, as well as his brother, James Hunt.
A visitation will be held on February 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the home of Grace Hunt, located at 348 NC Hwy 42 in Wilson, North Carolina.
Eugene’s faith was a guiding light throughout their life. May their memory bring comfort to those who knew them.
