Celebrating the Life of
November 7, 1961 — December 26, 2023
Eric Charles Fischer, 62, of Philadelphia and Lansdale, PA, passed away on December 26, 2023,
in Florida after a brief illness. He was born on November 7, 1961, in Abington PA. Eric was a
beloved father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend, known for his kind heart, love of sports
and his willingness to help anyone.
As a child, Eric was active and adventurous. He loved animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed
building ramps to ride his bike over, like Evel Knievel, and practicing his roller skating,
especially on the hardwood floors at home. Not surprisingly, his passion for sports extended to a
love of ice hockey in which Eric was an avid participant on the ice or on the street. An excellent
ice skater, he played on Northeast High School hockey teams. Eric loved all Philadelphia sports
teams, but particularly the Flyers. Eric was also a noted carpenter whose skills were amazing and
in demand.
Eric is survived by his daughter Kelly Chinni and her husband Anthony of Pennsburg PA, and
sons Colin Fischer of Reno NV, and Sean Fischer of Souderton PA. He loved his children
immensely but never had the chance to meet his two granddaughters. He is also survived by
siblings Kathy, Bill, and Michael as well as nieces and nephews. Eric’s memory will forever be
cherished by his family and friends.
A Memorial service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at the Immanuel Church of the Nazarene,
1260 Welsh Road, Lansdale PA on Monday March 25th, 2024. Visitation will begin at
9:30am followed by a service at 10:00am. This will be followed by a private family-only interment. No donations or flowers are requested.

Remembering Eric and all the fun times we shared, playing sports and hanging out with our friends in Fox Chase and at the shore in Margate! He will be missed. Condolences to his sister Kathy and the rest of his family and friends. Love, Grock
Eric was a very kindhearted soul. I remember many fun times with Eric growing up. Whether shooting hoops in the driveway, riding bikes, roller skating and many walks in the park with our grandparents. Also, don't forget those late nights at the ice skating rink. He is still deeply loved and will be missed.
Eric was one of my best friend's (Karen Siedell) high school sweethearts. We used to watch every ice hockey game and practice he had at Northeast High. He was very kind and a bit shy. May he rest in peace with all the rest of our high school friends. God Bless
Eric was my first love and my high school sweetheart . It may have been over 40 years ago but it still feels like a piece of my life is gone. May God bless his family. He is now an angel watching over you 💕
I can remember watching him play ice hockey for Northeast High School. He was the sweetest guy. May his memory be a blessing.
I remember how sweet Eric was. I enjoyed spending time with him and he was such a gentle spirit. I have missed that. His memory in his children and grandchildren will live in. Condolences to his family. ❤️
